Configure Everyday User Process Templates

Everyday User templates control what Everyday Users can access and do in EMS applications other than EMS Desktop Client. EMS provides two types of Everyday User templates:

  • Security template: Controls access to menu items, booking information, and other features. Previously called Web Security Templates.

  • Process template: Controls the reservation options available to users for spaces such as conference rooms, workspaces, and study rooms. Process templates also control date and time restrictions, room access, and available services such as A/V and catering. Previously called Web Process Templates or Web Templates.

EMS Enterprise includes an unauthenticated user process template and supports additional Everyday User process templates. EMS Professional also includes the unauthenticated user process template and supports up to two additional process templates.

Configure Everyday Users before you assign them to process templates.

  1. On the EMS menu bar, select Configuration > Everyday User Applications > Everyday User Process Templates.

The Everyday User Process Templates window opens to the Everyday User Template tab and lists the configured process templates.

The unauthenticated user template controls settings for anonymous or guest users. To provide a process template to an authenticated Everyday User, assign the user to the appropriate template.

To view inactive process templates, under Show, select Inactive.

  2. Select New.

The process template configuration dialog opens.

  3. Enter the process template information.

Use Request Status to configure a Request/Approval workflow. For example, select Request to require administrator approval before EMS finalizes a booking.

  4. Configure the applicable process template tabs:

  5. Under Everyday User Application Settings, select the applications or integrations that can use the process template:
